Security Policy

BRW Control Systems, Inc. considers the protection of all personal information we receive from our website visitors and subscribers as critical to our corporate mission. All information provided by customers visiting our website is kept strictly confidential, to prevent the unauthorized use of the information. All the nonpublic personal information we receive from our customers at BRW, whether via phone, mail or the internet, is treated confidentially, as outlined in our privacy policy. As with any transmission over the internet, however, there is always some element of risk involved in sending personal information. In order to minimize this risk, we encrypt all information that you submit in ordering one of our products or services using the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol.

BRW uses a PayPal Payment Gateway for its online credit card transactions, providing a safe and secure means of collecting payments via the internet. Your complete credit card information cannot be viewed by BRW or any outside party. PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). 128-bit encryption means that the data is cryptographically encoded during an SSL session. Compared to a 40-bit encrypted SSL certificate, a 128-bit is more than 300 septillion (300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) times stronger.

Before you even register or log in to the PayPal site, our server checks that you’re using an approved browser – one that uses SSL 3.0 or higher. You will know you have created an SSL link with our web server during the checkout process by seeing the “https://” at the beginning of the URL, as well as seeing the padlock icon (available in most but not all browsers) in the address bar of your browser.

Once your information reaches the PayPal site, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded, both physically and electronically. PayPal servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browser remains private and secure.

Regular internet e-mail is never completely secure. When corresponding to us via e-mail, you should only provide information that is non-sensitive and non-confidential. Please do not furnish us any information of a personal nature, including credit card information or Social Security Numbers, that you feel uncomfortable providing to us via e-mail. If you are concerned about the security of your communication, please transmit your correspondence to us using the postal service or telephone. BRW is not responsible for the security of information we receive via e-mail.

BRW may provide links to other internet sites, as a convenience to the persons visiting this website. If you visit these sites via our website, you may be asked to provide nonpublic personal information. Please be aware that BRW is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We suggest that, if you visit other websites through, you read the privacy policies of each site that you visit, as it may differ from ours. Our privacy policy applies solely to this website.
